Why is this site here?

We are two guys (we'll call ourselves "P" for "Panther" and "G" for "Ghost") who both grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs. We met as we both worked as contractors on the NASA/NOAA program to build the next generation of weather satellites. One day, in the middle of the meeting, G said something that P found to be quite annoying. P turned to G and said, "You went to Abington, didn't you?" G responded, "You must have gone to Cheltenham." Yes, our high schools were rivals.

Since then, we have engaged in (mostly) friendly ribbing about our alma maters. And we decided to put up this website as a tribute to our schools' rivalry, now entering its second century, along with the scores of the annual football game.

Nostalgia

Lee's hoagie menuAmong our shared high school memories: Lee's Hoagie House. Back in the day, Lee's menu included both Cheltenham and Abington hoagies. Alas, the Abington is no longer on the menu (sorry, Ghost!).

Football Rivalry

To save you the time tallying the results, they stand at Abington 57, Cheltenham 34 with 6 ties (and 5 years there was no game).
